COVID POLICY

We're in this together

I am extremely thankful that I get to work during these times and in order to keep the community whom I serve, myself and family safe and healthy while Covid-19 is still active these are the precautions Ill be using throughout this time based off recommendations by the CDC and the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA). I have many patients, some in the highly susceptible category that I am trying my best to keep safe. I am also in that category and I'm doing my best to ensure I can keep showing up for you and to avoid having to move two weeks worth of appointments if I were to come into contact with Covid. We are all in this together my friends and it's important that we all do our little part in keeping each other thriving.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT WHEN YOU COME INTO THE OFFICE

  1. You can arrive to your appointment as early as you need but I ask that you come into the building only 5 mins before your start time.

  2. Please wear an appropriate face mask when entering the building and ill invite you to wash your hands or use the hand sanitizer that is provided.

  3. You will be asked the following pre-screening questions:

    • Have you had a fever in the last 24 hours of 100°F or above?

    • Do you now, or have you recently had, any respiratory or flu symptoms, sore throat, or shortness of breath?

    • Have you been in contact with anyone in the last 14 days who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 or has coronavirus-type symptoms?

  4. I will take your temperature with a contactless thermometer. Note any temp over 100.4 will mean we will need to reschedule the appointment.

  5. Face mask is to stay on while you're in the building and thru the duration of the massage. I have a few pointers and ways to help make the mask a little more comfortable when lying prone/facedown. If you do not have an appropriate facemask when you arrive I can provide you with one for 2.00

  6. After we complete the checkout process I ask that you exit the building soon after to ensure the spacing between patients and for me to thoroughly sanitize the office space.

AFTER THE SESSION:

I sanitized all the handles of the office, the massage table, bolster and chairs and any surfaces that gets touched. There is an air purifier in the massage room and I diffuse thieves essential oil which is known to keep the air clean and sanitized  (please let me know if you have any aroma therapy sensitivities beforehand)  The bathroom is cleaned and disinfected each time it is used and I vacuum at the end of each day. Linens go in a dirty container and is not stored in the room.

NEW PATIENTS:

If you're a new patient please have your new patient paperwork completed online beforehand to save time on your massage and to keep things as touchless as possible

CONSIDERED HIGH RISK?

If you are in the high risk category something we can work out together is to make sure that you're my first appointment of the day or even the first of the week. The office will be clean and thoroughly sanitized and we will be the very first two and the only people in the building. Lets work together to make sure that you can still get the care that you need.

NOT FEELING WELL:

If you're not feeling well please stay home and we can reschedule you for no fee. If you happen to test positive for Covid or find out that you may have been exposed please inform me so I can take necessary precautions for my patients and myself.

If I am not feeling well I will reschedule your appointment. If I have a positive covid test I will inform each patient I have seen within the timeframe of possible exposure. Thank you for understanding that I prioritize the health and safety of the community I serve. Thank you for your kindness and empathy in this manor.
